Here’s first picture of my London trip. My computer is really trying to fight against me, I don’t know how many pictures I’ll be able to share this week, but I think it’ll be around 10 (sorry for so few, but me and my family are in like every pic and I don’t upload pictures where we are).
London was, as I excpected, heaven for a HP fan! There were so many places we went but so many more that we couldn’t go. This picture is from the famous Hamleys toystore, where they had on the 4th floor few shelves just for Harry Potter! I wanted to buy everything, but ended up buying nothing because I didn’t have enough money (spent them on other HP stuff and Kpop =D).
I started to work on my HufflePuff scarf and this is what it looks like now =)
I have made the instructions myself looking at the pictures of other scarves in the internet. You can see my previous scarf, the Ravenclaw one, besides the Hufflepuff I’m working on now. That’s because though I bought the same brand and the same line the yarns are different (wasn’t fun to discover that).
Directions
How you do this is that you knit one layer and then you purl the next and repeat that so that you have 40/54 layers. Oh, and one row has 45 loops, suggest you to make more, or whatever you can deside yourself. And that was the long yellow part, then you make the same knit and purl thing with black yarn for 8/10 layers. Then you do that with yellow and after that again with black so that you now have one long yellow, 2 short blacks and one short yellow (hopefully you understand what i mean). As you see in the picture I have just started to make the second long yellow part. So you just repeat the 1longyellow-1shortblack-1shortyellow-1shortblack thing as long as you want your scarf to be, I usually make them 2,5 meters long. When you have these done you tie off and then you do things I maybe can’t describe in English, but I can try… xD
You should sow the long sides of the scarf together and also the other end. You should now have the scarf the wrong side out so you turn it inside out and after that you sow the last short side, the end of the “tube” you should have. And then you put the tassel thingys in the end of the scarf and you’re done!
Huh, I have no experience on knitting in english, had to use a lot of dictionarys to tell you, but hope it helps someone who is doing a Harry Potter scarf =)
the 8/10 and 40/54 are the different ammount of layers, because as I told the yarns were different so I had to change the directions. If you have thick yarn you use 40 and 8, if you have thin yarn you use 10 and 54.

I bought a “Harry Potter : STICKER COLLECTION” book, found it at a bookshop and it cost only about 10 euros! But the best thing was when I came home and really looked at the stickers and I found this sticker of Ron Weasleys blanket! I have been searching for a good picture of it a really long time and this isn’t really big picture of it (actually so small I can’t see all the details xD) but I can see most of it! It’s going to be my project to make it, but it’ll probably be when I have the time, skills and money, wich will be about in… 5 years xD. But I wanted to share the picture so that if someone else is wanting to make it he/she could get ideas from this =)
Look what I have made! The dress is from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, it was worn by Luna Lovegood/Evanna Lynch. I took me a little while to make, but it’s finished now! Can’t wait to have some event I can wear it to. I didn’t have a patterns when I started making this, I had to make my own ones, but I don’t know where they’re now, went missing when I didn’t need them anymore… =D
The sock are just HufflePuff themed socks, I made them because I had time. I’ll still be making the HufflePuff scarf, it just takes so much time to make!
